The Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Transforming Fisheries Sector Management in South- West Indian Ocean Region and Maldives Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under Consulting Services. The consulting services required is to hire 2 Individual Consultants for “Tuna Samplers for GA. Kooddoo”.

 

The Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources now invites eligible consultants to submit expression of interest. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The criteria are:

Qualifications and Experience

  • Completed at least grade 10 or higher education.
  • Basic literacy in Dhivehi.
  • Prior experience in similar data collection.

Other Competencies

  • Demonstrated accessibility to vessels and the catch landed at the Port (i.e. candidate routinely engages and interacts with fishers at the time of landing).

Interested candidates must submit the following documents/information to demonstrate their qualifications, experience, and responsiveness to this TOR:

  • Expression of Interest Letter
  • Educational certificates
  • Reference letters stating your work experience
  • Curriculum vitae indicating all experience from similar jobs

 

The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
