1. The Ministry of Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Maldives: Enhancing Employability and Resilience of Youth (MEERY) Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Procurement of Machinery and Equipment for Welding Workshops at Ha. Atoll Technical Institute (Ha. Dhidhdhoo) and R. Atoll Technical Institute (R. Alifushi).

2. The Ministry of Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Procurement of Machinery and Equipment for Welding Workshop at Ha. Atoll Technical Institute (Ha. Dhidhdhoo) and R. Atoll Technical Institute (R. Alifushi) to be completed latest within 40 days after contract sign.

3. With reference to the announcement number (IUL)475/475/2024/113 published on 9^th July 2024, the bid submission date and the technical specifications for 5 items has been revised. Please find the revised bid submission date and specification in the Amendment 1 attached to this Gazette page. Interested Bidders can download the amendment and also receive upon written request for the amendment to the address given below:

4. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 8^th August 2024 (Thursday) 13:00 Hours Maldivian Time. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 8^th August 2024 (Thursday) 13:00 Hours Maldivian Time.
